City of Greeley and the Town of Windsor, Colorado
NEO was selected to provide a feasibility study and broadband plan for a joint-city project for the City of Greeley and the Town of Windsor, Colorado. The two communities have been experiencing tremendous growth and are surrounded by cities that are implementing a Gigabit Broadband Strategy for their constituents (Longmont, Ft. Collins, Loveland and Boulder).
NEO’s team performed preliminary design and engineering for a number of fiber investments, including connecting the city and town facilities, their SCADA systems, traffic management and other smart city applications. NEO’s team also put together capital cost estimates for building a Fiber to the Premise network and evaluated various strategies and models to implement a ubiquitous Gigabit Broadband Strategy. Our team provided guidance on government ordinance and policies, dark fiber and IRU options and various financial models for consideration. This provided the City and Town strategies to improve their own fiber network supporting government operations, as well as strategies to foster more broadband development within their communities.
