NEO provided design and engineering services for potential routes for backbone and lateral connectivity to connect Jeffco’s 155+ schools, including research on permitting, pole ownership, pole attachment fees, design specifications and capital cost estimates. NEO also provided design for Wave Division Multiplexing Equipment and routing architectures and rack, panel, conduit, fiber and materials specifications and space configurations for equipment rooms. This work was completed in November 2016.

NEO is providing consulting services to identify and negotiate potential partnerships in the deployment of the fiber network. This includes coordination and collaboration with Arvada, Edgewater, Golden, Lakewood, Littleton, Westminster, Wheat Ridge, Bow Mar, Lakeside, Morrison, Mountain View, Superior, Buffalo Creek, Conifer, Foxton, Idledale, Pine, Pine Junction. In partnership with these communities, NEO is identifying and mapping anchor institution locations and existing fiber networks and routing of the municipal fiber networks to achieve the most cost-effective build. It is coordinating efforts with the Colorado State OIT department, DOLA, CDOT, FRGP/BiSON and other potential stakeholders.
